News - KCPA - Boundless Helpers' Trip !

Khmer Chetsmos For Peace-KCPA Team, successfully organized the first trip called "Boundless Helpers' Trip" to help the people who are facing with the flooded, evern no home to stay, in Chongkos and Kompong Rotes villages, Koschen Cummune, Pohnealeu District, Kandal Province, Cambodia.

Since we have more support from our kind donors and sponsors including, students, private company employees as well as garments workers, we had proceed our trip to the right places that really need help on October 23, 2011. The trip start from 8:30am leaving Phnom Penh and reached to the place at 10:50am, then directly contributed untill 12:35pm, then our team having luch at 13:05pm together and returned to Phnom Penh at 15:15pm.
During the trip, we have done very helpful contributions to 69 families whose really need our help and plus other 9 memers of local organizers from those two villages.

The contribution we had contributed to each family without any discrimination or regardless of political activities at all, but it was in charity with fair action.
Every family, for all 69 families, and 9 others local organizer members, had received the same contribution packages as bellow:

1- 5000 Khmer Riels

2- 5 kg pack of rice

3- One pack of noodles,

4- One bottle of fish sauce

5- One 1kg-pack of salt

6- 20 tablets of medicin (paracetamol)

7- One 6-bottles set of pure potable water

8- 12 sets of clothes (5 for children and 7 for teenagers)

9- Some others extra clothes, (second hand clothes and new clothes = not sure how much, just pass to them directly.

Even though our contribution is still small amount, but this Bounless Helpter's Trip is realy usful and meaning full for our victim, and we are as a Khmer, very proud to help each other, since our activities in charity only, no any political impact.

On behalf of KCPA Team, whose organized this trip, I really appreciated and very much thank you to all sponsors and donors for your kindness in contribution and join with our team for this Boundless Helpers' Trip.  We hope, in the futur, your support is still very necessary and useful to help the others thousands families who are living in the poor living life..... that could not be exporess.... ! But it almost shock when we meet them.... !

Even though our contribution gifts, not big, but we at least can help them for some period, whilst they really faced difficulties, and they express very very thankfulness to our team, as one old lady expressed her felling in represent of the others who receiving the contribution.

1- Cash   in Riels  =  419,000 Riels
2- Cash in Dolla = 130$

2- Pur Potable Drinking Water = 25 sets

3- Noodles    = 20 cases

4- Clothes (Not clear of quantity yet)

5- Some others contributors had already confirmed to contribute, but still not receiv yet

Boundles Helpers' Trip !

Khmer Chetsmos For Peace Network Team - in cooperation with Savy-Multishop will have one special trip called "Boundless Helpers' Trip" to the midle of flooded areas of Pohnealeu District, Kandal Province. This trip is participated from volunteer team from all sources, such as fron the staff of trading companies, shops, garments factory as well as sourcing agents in Cambodia. The purpose of this trip is to contributes some charity items collected from those people who have willing to help the flooded victims.

The contribution items included "Clothes (Old and new), foods like noodles, fish cans, soy sauces, fish sauces, salt, and other items as much as we collected and contribute our own pockets.

The trip will be help on: Oct. 23, 2011, Start time, 9:30am
Starting place : Savy Multishop - Locate at #21E0, St. 299, Sangkat Boengkak II, Toulkork, (at the north-weth corner of Toulkork Market), Phnom Penh.

Destination: Prekdam Pridge, then continue by boat to the flooded area - houses.

Participant: Anyone, please register with us in advance before 20 Oct. 2011, so that we know the number of participans and arrang transportation and boats safely. Lunch will be on boat.

Receiving contribution items: Everyday from 7:30am till 22:00pm, at Savy Multishop (above address).

What to bring along ?
For Safety : Safety Waist, Foods, and some others as much as you can, but SAFETY FIRST !

Flood ! They really need our help !

I had visted many areas in Cambodia where huge and bad flooded never meet within century, many kids, old folks and widowers as well as the poor peoples are under the feeling of sadness and suffer caused of boundless flooded. All their residents were under/in the waters, no places to stay, no foods to eat...............

As of donation from some sources of government, some of the local authorities did not really meet their needs... as of too slow to provide helping hands to those need people...................... And some of the local authorities had with political discrimination in mind... then careless to provide their help.........etc.

However, for me personnally, I really admire for those people with their kind and heartfull mind to help all such people need with some contributes such as money, foods, waters as well as equipments or tools to those needed people without any negative opition... I really appreciated and joint to contribute with them.................. As I did alone, so, I could not provide them help much... but I wish all those who read this message, please join me to collect all every thing we can to help those need people and have a trip again soon to contrtibute to them as much as we could. ... !
